Yutong’s 110-Bus Delivery to Aramco Strengthens Its Middle East Presence
As 2025 marks the 35th anniversary of China-Saudi diplomatic relations, the two countries have deepened political trust and advanced high-quality collaboration in trade, culture, and transportation under the synergy of the Belt and Road Initiative and Saudi Vision 2030.
At this pivotal moment, 110 customized Yutong C13PRO premium coaches started operation for Aramco, a global energy giant, earning the trust of top Saudi brands through China’s intelligent manufacturing capabilities.
As one of the world’s largest oil and gas producers, Aramco has established its pivotal position in the international energy market with its strong resource reserves, leading technical capabilities and large production scale. As the first Chinese bus brand used by its travel service operator, Company E, Yutong not only showcases its product strength and brand influence in the international high-end market but also marks Chinese buses’ rapid development in global premium mobility sector.
Saudi Arabia’s harsh tropical desert climate with scorching year-round heat, sprawling deserts, sporadic sandstorms, and summer road temperatures surpassing 60°C, places exceptional demands on bus performance in comfort, durability, and climate resilience. To address these challenges, Yutong established a localized R&D system from its entry into the Middle East market, meticulously gathering operational data such as temperature, humidity, road conditions, and route frequency across key routes to engineer vehicles tailored to local conditions.
Yutong’s sustained growth in Saudi Arabia proves its product and service strength. Yutong delivered 263 intercity coaches in 2023, followed by 120 ZK6126HG buses deployed across Jizan and Al Qassim in 2024. Rollouts in 2025 include 165 customized buses in Medina, 91 in Jeddah, and 30 in Tabuk. Real-world operational data continually drives Yutong product refinement for scenario-specific optimization.
“The initial contract win was unexpected,” noted Yutong’s Middle East account manager. “given that Aramco previously operated vehicles are exclusively from top European and American manufacturers.”
Yutong’s C13PRO, exclusively engineered for Aramco, combines heat-resistant capabilities with client-centric innovations.
To enhance travel safety for employees’ children, the vehicle features an intelligent seat occupancy sensors and a Child Presence Detection (CPD) system to prevent occupants from being accidentally left behind. The second-generation intelligent electronic fan system automatically adjusts cooling efficiency against ambient temperatures for high efficiency and energy saving. The engine compartment uses new heat-insulating and noise-reducing materials, significantly improving the vehicle’s quietness and optimizing energy efficiency. The latest front wall sliding door simplifies tire maintenance.
For optimal ride comfort across challenging terrains, the front independent suspension minimizes vibrations and tightens turning radius. This entire fleet surpasses existing vehicles in both technical specifications and features, meeting Saudi Aramco’s demand for premium quality, corporate prestige, and human-centric considerations.
The interior showcases Yutong’s premium leather color-blocked seats, complemented by starry fiber-optic ceiling lights, roller window shades, and ambient pillar lighting, creating an elegant and refined cabin atmosphere that elevates the travel experience. For long-distance travel comfort, VIP seats offer ventilation, heating, rotation, and height adjustment, with intuitively placed controls on armrests and sides balancing functionality with aesthetic appeal.
Addressing diverse needs for business and long-distance receptions, Yutong incorporates practical features like a multifunctional business bar, integrated refrigerator, water dispenser, sink, overhead storage, to maximize space efficiency.
The vehicle also features a UK-standard 220V socket and intelligent power supply system, providing continuous power for mobile office equipment to ensure seamless connectivity throughout your journey. This bespoke solution not only meets VIP customers’ expectations for comfort, practicality, and prestige, but also demonstrates Yutong’s design expertise and delivery capabilities in premium customized mobility solutions.
Since entering Saudi Arabia in 2006, Yutong has pursued a dual strategy of localization and deep collaboration, working with partners to build a premium mobility ecosystem while achieving breakthroughs across multiple premium sectors. Yutong buses serve over 90% of Saudi airports, hold 65% market share in government-led TGA intercity transport projects, and dominate the new energy segment with an 83.2% share, driving the country’s transport transformation. The company also excels in premium corporate shuttle services, earning consistent recognition from clients like Aramco.
To strengthen after-sales support, Yutong established parts warehouses in Jeddah, Dammam and Riyadh, backed by a 70+ member direct service team. Combined with resident engineers and emergency response systems, this creates a seamless delivery-operation-maintenance cycle for worry-free customer operations.
Beyond business, Yutong actively adapts to local culture and operational rhythms, fostering cultural exchange through service excellence. For Middle East operator H Company, Yutong provided service package solutions for Saudi’s intercity transport projects from vehicle delivery to staffing and maintenance, delivering exceptional end-to-end service value.
For years, Yutong service teams have worked tirelessly on desert frontlines, conducting vehicle inspections in scorching temperatures exceeding 50°C and responding immediately to late-night emergencies. Through countless missions, Yutong has evolved from a service provider to what customers now call their “Chinese friend.” This trust stems from Yutong’s unwavering professional dedication, cultural respect, and shared aspirations for the future.
Marking the 35th anniversary of China-Saudi diplomatic relations, Yutong’s fleet deployment for Saudi Aramco represents a new chapter in exchanges between China’s advanced manufacturing and Middle East energy leaders. Moving forward, Yutong will continue refining products and services to deliver premium customized solutions for global markets, enhancing mobility ecosystems along the Belt and Road with higher-quality Chinese solutions.
