Doha, Qatar – October 2026: Yutong and Mowasalat (Karwa) successfully concluded the fourth edition of the Yutong & Mowasalat Energy Saving Driving Competition 2026, recognizing the professionalism, skills and commitment of bus drivers while highlighting the importance of safe and efficient driving in public transportation.

The competition brought together selected Mowasalat drivers who participated in theoretical and practical assessments designed to evaluate their driving skills, vehicle handling and ability to operate buses efficiently while maintaining safety, passenger comfort and smooth driving performance.

The competition included knowledge-based assessments and practical driving challenges. A panel of judges from Mowasalat and Yutong evaluated participants based on key criteria including driving safety, operational efficiency, vehicle control and overall driving performance.

Yutong and Mowasalat representatives highlighted the important role of professional drivers in delivering safe, reliable and efficient public transportation services, while commending the participants for their commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

The fourth edition also included school bus drivers, reinforcing the importance of safe and responsible driving practices across different public transportation services.

The initiative reflects the ongoing cooperation between Yutong and Mowasalat to support driver development, knowledge sharing and the promotion of best driving practices within Qatar’s public transportation sector.

The competition concluded with the recognition of the winning drivers and the presentation of certificates and awards in appreciation of their outstanding performance and commitment to safe and efficient driving.
